Browser Wars

Intresting read here on evolt about the various browers and their future. I find it interesting that the author is so quick to dismiss IE6 as dead when next realizing that there is no successor. The comments on Mozilla are scary - that without AOL it may die off - but it seems more likely that Mozilla will go the way of Linux. That is, it will be incorporated into multiple distros (gnome and kde) yet still be enhanced.

I like Mozilla quiet a bit. Although Google, with their new toolbar, has caught IE up with Mozilla as far as pop-up stopping is concerned. I like Mozilla also for its Tabbed browsing, the flexible cookie and pop-up windows management, plus its ability to manage how graphics are displayed (ie- from originating site only, any site, etc). Too bad it has a rather large footprint.
