This article discusses the nature of producing sf/fantasy television programs and why it is so difficult. What struck me as odd was the belief that you need a huge LOTR-size wallet to produce quality science fiction. Star Wars proves that big budget does not mean quality. (Although I am often labeled a fanboy, I'll be the first to admit that any entertainment value I derive from Star Wars is from the sugar-rush of the eye candy,)
