Those figures look familiar, I think you if dress them in colonial clothing, you would get the Franklin Mint Civil War chess set.
P.S.: Yes, it's The Civil War -- it's not The War Between the States, not The War of the Northern Aggression, I'm not going to say it differently just because I live in Texas now!

Hey, Peter. I'm a second-generation native Texan, and my wife is related to Sam Houston, but we call it the "Civil War" in our house. I've never really bought into the noble-southern-heritage mythology. I tend to stand with Sam Houston himself on this matter, (regarding the secession convention that took Texas out of the Union): "In the name of the constitution of Texas, which has been trampled upon, I refuse to take this oath. I love Texas too well to bring civil strife and bloodshed upon her."
