Then watch a movie!
An interesting web site listing films and what branch of philisophical thinking they fall under. It also lists the top philosophical movies, which, interstingly enough, is littered with SF movies.
In fact, I find the whole site to be rather interesting. I can understand how SF fits here since SF pushes the philosophical boundries quite a bit. However, here are some interesting entries:
Personal Identity - The Man with Two Brains
Some how I don't think "Into the mud, scum queen!" is on par with "Cogito, ergo sum", but maybe its just me.
Philisophy of Religion - The Life of Brian
Ok, so the whole film is one giant pot shot at organized religion, but it allows to me to say: "Splitter!". Oh and mention the Judean People's Front and the People's Front of Judea.
The Problem of Evil
Check out the shot they give to Theodore Rex. Never seen it.
Enjoy!

I know very little about Philosophy but it is something I've been wanting to learn more about. It's good to know that I've been getting educated without even knowing it! Although, if a sf geek learns about Philosophy without even knowing about it, does he learn anything? Hmmmm.

I don't know much about "Philisophy" either. But "The Life of Brian" can be construed as a philosophical view of religion, just that it's a parodic view.

Philosophy nor any other material need be presented in a dry textbook manner. I am willing to bet that the most interesting classes in school are those where the material is presented in alternate form of either experiments or acting out a given scenario...
