Man, I've wanted TiVo capability on my XM stereo since the day I bought it! Sadly it looks like there'll be no legal avenues available for this in the near future.

This is why I think these guys really are missing the boat. They are, of course, eventually going to shut this guy down and make him look like a thief. When instead, they could be looking to capitolize on this soluion. Add DRM that makes the music you recorded only available to you - versus something that can then be shared. Why is it so difficult to embrace the technology and use it with the concept of fair use - but instead lets go back to 8-track tapes and stone hammers.

Well I think you can't stop people from sharing it, but even so - it seems that would be a good advertising medium for them. If people get hold of bootleg XM-exclusive concerts, it seems they might be more apt to subscribe to XM.
