Two Muppets Named Top Scientists

Muppets Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant Beaker were voted Britain's favorite screen scientists. (These are probably the same clowns who voted Blade Runner the top SF film.) The Muppets beat out Dr. Strangelove, Dana Scully and Mr. Spock.

Don't make me get Ken in here to lay the verbal smackdown on you. This is pretty cool news for Muppet fans everywhere, and lets face Dr. Bunsen and Beaker are so much better than that Mr. Spock clown...

Even scientist (and sf author) Stephen Baxter says "...Unfortunately it was sf as voted for by scientists, who, with all respect, knew nothing about sf and didn't like what they did know.... About as useful as surveying theologians for their views on synchronised swimming!"
