So the boys and girls at Relic (creators of Homeworld) have a new game coming out on Sept 21. I downloaded the demo and it looks really nice. It is based on Games Workshop's Warhammer 40000 universe. It has the feel for what a WH40K game should be with the Orks being well Orky and Marines being the bad asses they are described as. The intro video alone makes the game look fantastic. Check out the demo if you get a chance.

Bah! Another RTS clone!!!!!
Actually, the demo tutorial was kind of fun. The Warhammer universe looks rather cool. Maybe I'll put this on the list with Evil Genius and Rome: Total War and Locomotion....

is this just another rts where you build and rebuild your base during each scenario, ad nauseam?

I have no idea but the Relic guys are not in the business of the build/rebuild ad naseum. There are still games like that - but I doubt that this one will fit that mold.

Ok, well, it plays just like every other RTS. And since I can't multi-task well in these types of games and have difficulty being able to build units and manage battles.
It does look good though, but at 1074X768 it makes my machine chug...

I enjoyed the demo (thanks for the link Tim) but agree that it is largely more RTS. While I certainly used to enjoy that genre quite a bit lately I've found it to be a bit tedious.
The graphics in Dawn of War are awesome though - the individual unit graphics rock.
