The Long Climb Towards Civilization.....IV That Is

Looks like Firaxis is working on a new entry in the Civilization PC game series, Civilization IV.

Now, the graphics, what you can see of them, look pretty good. But do we really need another Civ game? I played the heck out of I and II, but III just felt like more of the same. There will need to be something new in IV to get me to give it much of my time.

Secondly, consoles? Are they kidding? They'd better have a really good control scheme to work on those controllers with all those buttons. At least it isn't a twitch game that requires you to hit 5 buttons consecutively, in a certain order, in a short amout of time. That means I'll actually have a chance to play it well...

Q: "But do we really need another Civ game?"
A: You bought the 3 previous ones. Why not make another?
