I don't understand the sentiment that 'it should never have been on the air in the first place.' What does that mean? That you've never like Star Trek and thus no variant of it is worth airing? Or was the fundamental notion of seeing the early history from the ST universe explorered a flawed one?

Perhaps it means, knowing the blowage that was Enterprise, it should never have seen the light of day in its current form. B&B need to take a break from Trek and let some real writers do the heavy lifting. I haven't watched any of this season's show so I don't know how Coto's tenure worked out.
