SyFy Portal reports that CBS will be streaming episodes of Threshold in an effort to increase viewership. Episodes will only be available 3 days but they will be commercial free.
This is another big step for the networks. Where is it headed? I think SF Signalite Tim echoes the sentiments of many - bring us the $1-per-episode DRM-free downloads!

Yah know, as "cool" as all these podcasts, streaming videos, downloads and the like are...if they really want to increase viewership, maybe something silly like quality writing or quality acting might do the trick?
"Threshold" is OK, but I'm so ambivalent on it that if something vaguely better came along, I wouldn't even bother to watch it. And when they start showing new episodes of SG, etc., on SkiFi, I'll dump it entirely.
Just a thought. Writing. Acting. All that funny "old school" stuff.

Agreed Fred, it would be unfortunate if only the bad shows got released to the web
.
However, I like the trend and direction - it makes building a media center PC a lot more appealing.
