In a landslide, the tv-scifi viewing population has generally lost faith in the network's ability to come up with ideas for a decent television show.

Or perhaps people are tired of butchery committed by writers directing plot lines to no higher than 12 year old boys. Check out any "made for tv" movie on scifi channel for examples.

Who knows? I had misgivings about Battlestar Galactica and it turned out to be something I enjoy.
