Did you know the first animated feature film made in the U.S. was nearly ERB's A Princess of Mars? That's one I wish they'd made....

Olaf Stapledon rocks. Try "Star Maker". However...if you read "Last and First Men", skip the first few chapters (on Earth) until humanity gets off Earth. They could put you off the rest of the book.

BTW, thanks for the Stapledon link. I had posted a bit in 2003 regarding J.D. Bernal (somebody that inspired Stapledon) and included a link to an earlier version of that site. It's nice to be able to update the posting with the site's current URL!

FWIW, I am a University of California, Riverside alumn. But it was only last year that I made use of the Eaton collection, and it was to review and read through a few copies SciFi Eye. Searching for an essay by Charles Platt, and I found an interview with Clive Barker as a bonus.
