a skunky beer is better than no beer at all.

I recall one gunnery cycle when our platoon sergeants promised us beer if we did well. They bought us beer, skunky beer. We lowly tanker types returned the several cases of skunky beer and got a lesser number of cases of higher quality beer.

So much for that theory.

Yes, I would have to agree with Fred on this one. Not that I had gunnery sergeants buying me beer or any other kind of sergeant for that matter.
