If i was an actor on BSG i would be begging the writers to make me a cylon...which would garantee they could not "kill off" your character.

When the studio brass decided to kill DS9 they seem to have left the writers to their own devices and the result was the best Star Trek we've ever had. The trek that has come out since has paled in comparison.
