Battlestar Galactica: "Resistance"

The SciFi Channel is posting a 10-part Battlestar Galactica episode that bridges the gap between season 2 and season 3. New webisodes are posted every Tuesday and Thursday, starting today.

Reminder: Season 3 starts on October 6th.

Sigh. Looks great. Of course, as the last person in the US who is on dialup, I'll never be able to watch it!

O.K., for the technologically challenged (me), can these things be downloaded and saved. Streaming just doesn't seem to be viable on dialup!

I am sure we can figure something out Fred - I cannot imagine its impossible, and I dare say if I figure out a way to do it - I will let you know.

Weeeelllll....downloaded it (urgh), but now I can't get a visual. Get sound using Windows Media Player (blech), but no picture. Won't work with Quicktime (fagh), so what next?

VLC plays just about everything, but you'll have to download it from here http://www.videolan.org/ which probably defeats the point?

I watched it on YouTube, which does preload streams, so you can wait a while then watch it. (Once the page is opened just pause the video until the light grey bar has reached the end).

James, we have a winner! Picture! Sound! Colonel Tigh!

:-S

Well, you can't have everything.

Seriously, thanks, that did the trick.

Cool.
Now I think you should get broadband. ;-)

First I have to get one of those "real job" things. But that's another story.
