The Tech Geek responds to the 15 Geek Movies to See Before You Die post with his own list of:

The Top 10 Most Quotable Geek Films...Ever!

  1. The Empire Strikes Back
  2. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
  3. The Princess Bride
  4. Superman II
  5. Office Space
  6. Pulp Fiction
  7. Army of Darkness
  8. Die Hard
  9. Aliens
  10. Tombstone
Personally my experience has been that the three most quotable things are Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Seinfeld and The Simpsons.

Empire is the most quotable? Not when you have Princess Bride and Holy Grail on the list. Those two are shear quotable gold. Empire, not so much.

And Superman II? I don't any quote from that movie has ever come up in our conversations, and we can use some obscure references. I'd say some re-arranging is in order.

What, no Airplane? That's movie (along with Princess Bride and Holy Grail) has to be one of my best sources of one-liners.

How could I forget Airplane?! Throw out Supes II and replace, STAT!

Airplane! It's an entirely different kind of movie...altogether. :)

Falls a little bit outside of the 'geek' definition, but both Raising Arizona and Oh Brother Where Art Thou are ones that 'we' quote quite frequently.

How is Empire more quotable than A New Hope?? I don't remember when was the last time I said "Luke! I AM your father!"

While, just today, I said "These are not the droids you're looking for..."

Is that an African or European swallow?

Superman2??

Game Over man! Game over! :-)
Inconceivable!
Laugh it up, fuzzball.

Pete, Pete, Pete. You're Star Wars Fanboy credentials are about to be revoked. All true Star Wars Fanboys know there is no bloody Episode IV or bloody A New Hope. It is, and always will be, just Star Wars, the way God intended before Lucas went crazy, sometime shortly after dreaming up Ewoks.

Yes!! Finally, validation that I'm not a SW phanboi!! Doh! I'm still a geek, though...
