Interzone Celebrates The Mundane

Andy Cox, editor and publisher of Interzone, has announced that the May-June issue next year will be a special issue devoted to Mundane SF, guest-edited by Geoff Ryman.

As per Ryman, the rules of Mundane SF are:

  • no FTL travel or communications
  • no aliens
  • no time travel
  • no parallel universes
  • no immortality or telepathy

...what a thoroughly cool idea. I wish I had enough free time to write a story and send it to them. I wonder if I HAVE any stories that would fit...hmmm...

Regardless, I'll definitely read that issue. I love it when magazines do themed issues.
