I actually saw "World Enough and Time" at the Nebula Awards a few months ago. Marc Scott Zicree, the director and co-writer, showed an unfinished cut. It was incredible; it felt as if we had just seen the 80th episode of the original series.

I've seen a few episodes of New Voyages, and I've enjoyed 'em. The actors look like they're having fun, the writing isn't awful. Occasionally, it's better than some of the REALLY dorky TOS episodes (although if they played to the strength of their writing, they could do a story like "City on the Edge of Forever" without difficulty)

Masters of SF...did you read that article and see this quote?

"On the other hand, the series will be broadcast in the dead of summer on Saturday nights, suggesting that the network sees its likely audience as pudgy misfits in 'Star Trek' costumes, their vintage plastic phasars set for 'stun.'"
