Ya' know, I'm really tired of all the hype, or even just plain talk, about "The Bionic Woman." At best this show is faux sci-fi. I guess I'm just tired of the dearth of true sci-fi on TV today. We got "Battlestar Galactica" and "Doctor Who"--that's it. I need spaceships and laser beams and action and the future (or another world at any point in time) in my sci-fi. A half-robot woman with some spring in her step just doesn't cut it for me. Sorry. Call me traditional, but there is no sci-fi or fantasy on TV today that can hold a candle to BG and DW. (Yes, including "Lost." Whatever, Mary.)

Oh. And I almost forgot. The new "Flash Gordon"? Gag me with a spoon. Sorry to be so negative today. The nadir of TV that will be "The Bionic Woman" just has me bumming. So. How long is it until the live-action "Star Wars" TV series debuts? Save me, George Lucas, save me!

I thought the SW show was going to be CGI. As for George Lucas saving us...only if he gestures in a mysterious way and utters something like "Those aren't the prequels you remember."
