Apologies in advance. This is oh-so-painful, yet I cannot look away...

My favorite part of this is a comment on YouTube that goes something like "that dance move at 1:50 really takes it to another level."
My thoughts exactly.

Doesn't any notice that SHE CAN'T PLAY THE TRUMPET?????!!!!
Good grief that was awful. At least Miss South Carolina was flummoxed by an unexpected question. Miss Douglas here actually PLANNED to do this.
Flabbergasted. That's me.

...as if millions of eardrums suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

I can't believe you guys said that. That was hawt!!! She used the trumpet as a blaster, and lets face it every Star Wars geek is now looking for love in all the wrong places...

I have to agree with Timmy on this one -- where else can you find a good looking blonde who knows the Star Wars theme enough to do a poor rendition of it? Come on! And with those lungs, dare nerds dream?!?!

So, Tim & PeterY, lemme get this straight, this girl's hotness and knowledge of the Star Wars theme is supposed to distract our attention from the fact that she can't actually play the music? Isn't that kinda like Obi Wan using the Jedi Mind Trick to convince the stormtroopers to ignore the droids he's smuggling outta Mos Eisley? And yet, your argument is strangely compelling...
This isn't the lack of musical talent we're looking for. Move along.

There was music in that little video? Hmm odd, I must have missed it... ![]()

Well, Mr. bloginhood, if you looked at her and all you saw was an inability to play the trumpet, then you are a bigger phanboi than me; but then, of course you are, for you'd used a Star Wars reference as a allegory in your argument -- you, sir, are indeed true to your phanboi-edness and I salute you! *snaps to attention*
John, please remind the masses the sort of comments that I usually make... Apparently my absence has risen the expectations of me...

Dear Masses,
Reminder: Peter Y's comments are usually riddled with sarcasm that sounds like honest hate. Rest assured that this is not the case and it is only a matter of time before he offers some reasonably worthwhile supermodel eye candy linkage that makes his presence tolerable. We love him like a brother, just not one of our own. Ba-dum crash!

The odd thing about this is, she can play the trumpet (sorta) but seems to be playing the wrong notes? I almost thought she was playing the 2nd trumpet part? The best I could say is maybe the trumpet was tuned back stage in the air conditioning and under the lights it went flat (like a half-step)?
I mean, I'm sure she practiced it and wouldn't somebody have said 'hey, that doesn't sounds right'?

LOL
That's what I get for sitting too close to the screen and staring at it too hard for too many hours looking for continuity errors.
But it was either make a half-a$$ed remark about the Jedi Mind Trick, or something truly vicious speculating whether she has talents playing other instruments that allowed her to get that far with no musical ability.

This thing gets better on repeat viewing. Did I just see camera flashes during her "action sequence" at 1:56? As if someone wanted to preserve the moment? ![]()

That was me!! Chicks with trumpets and Star Wars - it gets me all giddy with excitement. And you guys are serious that there was music in there??? Well crap, time to watch it again ![]()

Does anyone else keep subjecting themselves to this again and again...
Ummm...me neither. ![]()
