Just to be clear, what you refer to as "the blog for the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America" is actually a LiveJournal community SFWA uses for outreach to members and non-members alike. And anyone who is a member of the LJ community can post, even if they're not a member of SFWA. So it's not as if SFWA is running any sort of official survey over on the LiveJournal. (Saying "The blog...asks" makes it sound more official than it really is.)
