A re-make of Metropolis. Really.

My prediction:
1) They're going to ruin it.
2) I'm going to see it anyway.
3) No One will appreciate the point of the story... if, in fact, enough of the point survives to even be noticed in the remade version.

At the very least there will be some renewed interest in the original version.

RE: Metropolis

Dear Hollywood,
Why on earth would you want to fuck up perfection by doing a remake of Metropolis? Seriously, you need to just put down the Oxycontin and step away from the table. You will be searched for comic books by security as well when escorted from the building.

sincerely,

Who today can rival Brigitte Helm's performance as the evil robot? She's like a wanton, malignant ferret on speed! It's a milestone of the truly bizarre.
