So did someone take a handy-cam into Cloverfield and got that footage or is everything going to that handy-cam format, even Star Trek?

Seems like a waste of effort. This imparts only one piece of actual data (no pun intended): the release date. The rest of it is crap. I think the erratic production either indicates it was tossed together on a Friday PM or that they don't have anything to show yet so this makes it more "mysterious". Or something.

Yay! Just in time for my brand new, thousands of $$$ purchase of HDTV, Blu-Ray and Dolby TrueHD, I get to watch movies that look like they were filmed with a cell phone or a hand cranked silent film camera. Imagine my joy.
