This looks like a fine list with a nice mix of some very prominent authors (i.e. - ones that I recognize) as well as some less-famous ones.
Of all these stories the only one that I have read (so far) is "For Solo Cello, Op. 12" by Mary Robinette Kowal. I agree that it is worthy of inclusion in a "Best of" anthology if for no other reason than it makes use of the highly controversial subject of what embryonic stem cells may be able to accomplish. A great story for thinking about things that may be. (You can read my own review of the story on my blog.)
Anyway, looks like a good list - can't wait to pick it up and start working on each of the stories.
