This is an interesting topic. Just looking at the critics top 10:
The Long Afternoon of Earth – Never read it.
The Demolished Man – Bester? Never read it.
The Martian Chronicles – Read pieces.Atmospheric.
Stand on Zanzibar – What? Drug induced writing.
Childhood’s End – Great book.
Dune – Slow, then great. Without Sting though.
Left Hand of Darkness – Zzzzz. Nice world building.
A Canticle for Leibowitz – Great read. Although, I don’t think its as relevant today as it was when it was written.
The Space Merchants – Never read it.
More Than Human – Never read it.
