Game Gadgets: TNG

The next generation of handheld game gadgets promises the ability to let you to watch movies, listen to music, make phone calls, take pictures, browse the Net and send wireless messages. Sounds cool but I never bought in to the all-in-one gadget concept. The ability to play games on my phone goes unappreciated – it’s just a phone to me. Maybe the right gadget has yet to come along…

The real problem is that one or more of those functions will go obsolete faster than the rest – leaving you with a convergence device that no longer converges.
Also, I think usability suffers from the combination. Do I really want to hold up a gameboy to my head? Or talk into my camera?

Only in my case it’s more like Nine and a half the Hard Way just ask your mom.
