Half-Life 2 Delayed… Again!

I just noticed on EBGames.com that Half Life 2 slipped to September.

I would say i was surprised, but I can’t remember a PC game shipped on time. I believe it will be worth the wait since the hype is growing and Farcry elevated the expectations a bit. Although I am much more interested in story than all the effort soley on demonstrating a given game engine. Thats why games like Half-life, Thief, and System Shock 2 still rank as fantastic still rank very highly on my must be played list…
Speaking of Thief, the new one is out later this month.
I understand slipping, but man, it was supposed to come a year ago now, right? Are they just constantly spinning in order to keep up with current technology, I wonder?
