The Chronicles of Riddick

This movie may suck dingo’s kidnies, but the trailer looks great.
And I’ve only seen about 15 minutes of Pitch Black, but its supposed to be good.

Really, really liked Pitch Black.
And the extended trailer for Chronicles is a special feature on Tivo this week. I think it just may be THE sci-fi film to see this summer (especially since Sky Captain moved out to fall.)
So far this year Van Helsing and Hell Boy have been colossal disappoinments, so Chronicles doesn’t have much to beat! And Dame Judy Densch is in it, so it won’t suck TOO badly (put THAT in your super-model pipe and smoke it, Peter!)

Um… yeah Dame whateveh – I liked Pitch Black and I liked Riddick but not enough to see a prequel or a sequel or anything. Pitch Black really played out a great story and gave a really compelling character who was not exactly a hero archetype. But then again nobody in that film would be construed as a hero – I suggest watching it to completion and then deciding for yourself. I think one of the best parts of this film is that most folks in it are not exactly A-list stars.
