I agree with other voters. “Caved In” and “Swarmed” sound like uninspired horror movie which I avoid even if sci fi isn’t screwing them up. “Magma” interests me, but I know sci fi will screw it up with bad science, acting, and effects and ridiculous plotting. I voted for WotW because the choice specifically says a faithful adaptation. But “None of the Above” was a close second because I have no faith in the sci fi channels’ ability to produce good movies. They can screw up pretty much anything in their attempts to save money and attract the lowest common denominator. Don’t they get that their niche market is at least slightly smarter and more scientifically literate than the average American?
Looking at this week’s poll, you forgot a choice–Serenity.
Yes, I know. The idea was to compare the December ’05 answers with the December ’04 answers. Serenity wasn’t on our radar at the time. In retrospect, I think I could have dropped A Sound of Thunder. Oh well.:-S
