OSC’s review of Aeon Flux is amusing. He didn’t like the movie and spends much of the review explaining why movies based on video games don’t work. Only problem I see with that tactic is that Aeon Flux is not based on a video game! It was based on some Euro-ish, surreal cartoon shorts that appeared on MTV years ago.
I haven’t seen the shorts, the brief series, or the movie, but I am enough of a geek to know the basis of the movie. I am still trying to figure out if I want to see it. Unfortunately OSC’s review was not helpful to me in that regard. The man needs a fact checker.
Yeah, I caught that, too. I was wondering if anyone else would. I remember watching an episode or two on MTV back in the day when the M stood for music.
