7 Comments on 2005 Preliminary Nebula Ballot

  1. So many books/stories, I’ve only read Iron Council and Jonathan Strange. Other notes of interest: Terry Pratchett nominated? Wow. I’ll have to get Going Postal now. I read the first Dread Empire’s Fall from Williams and thought it was just mediocre. Now I see this volume is nominated for a Hugo. I guess I’ll have to get the others now…

  2. With regards Dread Empire’s Fall: if by “get” you mean “borrow from John”, say the word.

  3. I read exactly zero of these :S But its not that I haven’t been trying, and going postal is now on my list :)

  4. I’ve not read any of these either, though Ryman’s novel is sitting on my shelf, waiting for me to pick it up.

Fortunately, I did read Doctorow’s “Anda’s Game”, so I don’t have to admit to not having read a single thing on the ballot.

  5. You mention that “The People of Sand and Slag” is online on the F&SF website. That’s true, but now so are all the other nominees. They’re over here: .

  6. Sweet! Thanks, John! 😀

I’ve updated the links where appropriate.

  7. Updated with a link to “Identity Theft” by Robert J. Sawyer.
