Star Wars Kid Goes to Court

The Canadian teen who came to be known as The Star Wars Kid is headed to court. He rose to fame because of a video his peers released on the Internet which showed him acting out a light saber scene, and because of all the parodies that followed. Next month he will be appearing in court to pursue a $160,000 lawsuit against his ex-classmates who leaked the video.

What a wonderful wonderful time that we live in when childhood teasing can leading to a lawsuit that worth hundreds of thousands of dollars! If only I could have sued everyone that picked on me — I would probably be a quite bit less poorer than I currently am!
Emotional distress??! What about my emotion distress, after repeated viewings, of being subjected to his rather portly figure sloshing around?? That’s not to mention the pains in my gut that I felt from all the laughter induced by those videos! After all, laughter is involuntarily, can I sue to get a cut of that $160K?
The fitting judgement in is would be to award the Star Wars kid with just a mike stand.
Why doesn’t George Lucas sue him for the poor imitation — it certainly detracted from the Star Wars universe!

Yeah, but then to be consistent Lucas would have to sue himself.
I keep thinking about what Yoda would say: “Litigious, he is.”
Is he going to sue his parents for naming him “Ghyslain Raza?” Do you think they call him “Guy’s lame” at school?
