“Inside Out” by Barry N. Malzberg [1978 vignette]
- Source: 100 Malicious Little Mysteries edited by Isaac Asimov
- Synopsis: The narrator, who dreams of serial murder and of keeping the corpses in his apartment, encounters a dilemma when his apartment runs out of empty space.
- Review: Creepy with a capital C. Very well done story. The detail with which the narrator thinks about body disposal is unsettling. As might be expected, fantasy and reality begin to blur.
“Dutch” by William F. Nolan [1958 vignette]
- Source: 100 Malicious Little Mysteries edited by Isaac Asimov
- Synopsis: Two teens – one popular, one not – steal two cars go drag racing.
- Review: Predictable, but still a fun read. Unpopular and homely Eddie has his eye’s on Dutch’s girl and decides to take matters into his own hands.
