As far as I’m concered, Pluto is a planet, and I hope like-minded citizens will join us at http://www.plutoisaplanet.org and sign on as supporters!
I like the idea of having more planets. It’s perfect for my next money making scheme: Name a small, icy planet after a loved one! (Or someone you h8).
If the IAU demotes Pluto, it will earn the dislike of schoolchildren and amateur astronomers everywhere!
:O
Charlie Stross weighs in on the issue, and Scalzi will be unable to threaten him with an elder god.
Ack, neither can Iain M. Banks be threatened by Scalzi…
My favorite in there is the person, who after watching the Scalzi video, states he wants to petition to keep Pluto, but only if it gets renamed Yoggoth.
