I’m just not sure what to make of it. After a spotty track record at delivering my issues of Locus on time, I was subjected to the worst-case scenario of all: I never received the July issue. Today, inexplicably, I received the August issue. One the first day of the month! OK, so it was still unsealed, but I can’t complain. For the July issue, I put a call in to the offices at Locus, spoke to someone who was very polite and helpful, and they will send me a replacement issue.

Besides the “Remebering Jim Baen” feature, the August issue contains an interview with John C. Wright, complete with a full-page photo. [Must... resist... temptation... to... photoshop... George... Kennedy's... face... into... photo...] I haven’t read it yet, but a quick skim did not reveal any mentions of a certain science fiction blog. :)
