Unbelievable, Spike cancels the only decent orginal show it has going. I swear I will never understand the folks who run these channels, and I guess what mainstream TV has to offer is just plain crap. Thank goodness that BG is coming back on.

Sadly, TV has never been about quality. It's about advertising dollars.

You need a state funded tv network like the BBC. No adverts, and pretty good TV.

State funded TV? Why should my taxes be raised to support that, exactly? Shouldn't the state stick to areas NOT handled by corporations? Is TV a necessity, like health care or water? I suppose you could arguments about it being an opiate for the masses, but still.

As you might imagine, I'm not a big fan of the US NEA either.
