- This year’s Sunburst Award winner, for an SF novel or book-length collection by a Canadian writer, is Holly Phillips’ In the Palace of Repose. [via Locus Online]
- Apex Digest has met its goal in a recent membership drive!
- Atlanta radio station Q100.5′s Bert Show offers a 5-part (real audio) musical series: Harry Potter: Trapped in the Closet, Under the Stairs.
- John Scalzi interviews Jo Walton.
- The September issue of Internet Review of Science Fiction is out.
- Over at Asimov’s Science Fiction, Robert Silverberg reflects on the use of “archaic” tools like typewriters and copy machines to draft novels.
- Nicholas Whyte does some number crunching to find that authors born between 1942 and 1951 have won almost twice as many Hugos and Nebulas as might be expected, comparing them with all Hugo and nebula winners.
