- In response to the Hollywood Eats Sci-Fi’s Brains article in Wired, Michael L. Wentz asks: Is there such a thing as “serious” science fiction?
- In 2005, the Edge Foundation asked 120 scientists, philosophers, and futurists “What do you believe is true even though you cannot prove it?” There are responses from the likes of Gregory Benford, Rudy Rucker and Bruce Sterling. [via Robert J. Sawyer]
- In 2006, the Edge Foundation asked them: “What is your dangerous idea?” and got answers from Benford and Rucker.

Thud and Blunder! An excellent essay! One of the reasons I bought the original TW shared universe set edited by Asprin and Abbey was because they included that essay. Wish more fantasy world designers (fiction or game) would read this one!
