  1. That was a really fun list and I enjoyed his mini-reviews of them. Not sure I would’ve included ST IV as that is too much of a parody film for me. I remember liking it well enough when it came out but I kringe more over that one now than over any of them.

  2. Ditto on ST IV. I would’ve added Gattaca before that one. I’m surprised Tron isn’t on the list.

I like his explanation in the comments for why Blade Runner didn’t make the cut. He says: : “I think Blade Runner is overrated. It’s a little slow. The last time I tried to watch it, I fell asleep. The book — Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? — is way better.” Huzzah! Validation!

First, I’m a heretic in that I prefer the original Blade Runner, with the voice over. No, really. Also, BR is one of the few cases where I prefer the movie to the book.

Second, does Office Space fit in this list of movies? All of the other movies are SF, but Office Space?

Third, hmmm. Must add Dark City and Brazil to the Netflix.

  4. Woot! Only 4 more movies to go before I can die a happy geek!
