There are a ton of unread science fiction and fantasy series that I'd love to dive into.
The top of that list is constantly changing based on either recommendations from others, my own reading experiences (usually by the same author) or just stumbling across an unread book (or series) from my own collection.
For example, folks have been recommending George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series for some time. And my recent reading of Kage Baker's Gods and Pawns moved her Company novels at the top of my list. That's not to mention the series that used to be high on the to-read-next list like Banks' Culture novels, Benford's Galactic Center books, Butcher's Dresden Files and Bova's Grand Tour series...and that's just the authors whose names start with "B"!

Hello!
(I'm sorry, my English is poor).
About a series I'm dying to read, I regret I never could read the following books from "the Mayflower trilogy", by Orson Scott Card and Kathryn H. Kidd, because is cancelled. I enjoyed the first one, "Lovelock". I think the book is very good, more promising than other Card series.
Now my wish is to read "Sixty Days and Counting", the third ecothriller book for the Kim Stanley Robinson's interesing series about the climate warming.

Thanks, Paul. Good stuff. I like the list of series you are not going to continue. My version of that category would contain Bunch's/Cole's Sten books, Adams' Hitchhikers Trilogy (Gasp! I thought the second book was lame, if memory serves), the original Dune series, and Ringo's Posleen series (1st one excellent, 2nd one meh).

Niven's Ringworld series. I quite enjoyed Ringworld but I haven't had the chance to crack open the sequels yet.

So many books, so little time!
I have Book 1 of George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series withering away on my shelf, along with The Reality Dysfunction by Peter F. Hamilton.
I made a bet that "I would too read a book called Days of Blood and Fire!" which is faaar far down the line in the Deverry series by Katharine Kerr so I'm honor bound to plug through a few more books in that one.
I was also very intrigued by the premise of, Ending and Ending, the first book of the Laurian Pentology by Danny Birt.
