I hate to break up the Star Wars love fest we are having today, but this is too cool to pass up. Ain’t It Cool News points us to some footage released by Warner Bros. about the shooting of The Lost Tales.
- Bruce Boxlietner, Tracy Scoggins, JMS and the guy who plays Galen talk about how it feels to be back on the set.
- Bruce reminisces about Babylon 5.
- JMS’ first day back on the set.
- The aftermath of the shoot.
I likes me some B5, I’ll definitely be picking this one up on DVD. I’m still sad that there is no Garibaldi and that Andreas Katsulas has passed. G’Kar is one of the best characters I’ve ever seen in not just science fiction TV, but TV period.

I was also sad that we don’t get Garabaldi this time around, but that’s because for the SECOND Lost Tales DVD, it’s all Garabaldi’s story. So, that’s all right.
I couldn’t agree more JP! B5 was an incredible show (until season 5 which blew chunks). I got my daughter to watch them recently. She is up to Season 3 and glued to the DVD’s right now. I was impressed. She had the same fervor for Firefly as well. I’m so proud of my budding little SF girl.
Wow, that’s excellent! I want!
And I absolutely agree, G’kar is one of the best characters ever. It’s a real tragedy that we won’t see Andreas reprise that role. (Or see Dr. Franklin again, either.)
I still haven’t found anything else on TV that evoked such a passionate (and loyal!) response from me.
It’s not really their fault season 5 sucked, that had a lot to do with the network scheduling and the imminent cancellation in season 4. Of course, you probably already know that
I had the good fortune to meet Stephen Furst last year and he’s as charming and funny in person as he was on that show. My favorite B5 moment is still him waving to Morden’s head. Does anyone know if he will be in this DVD set?
Count me in on the B5 gushing. Some of the best TV ever written.
I’m wondering though… If JMS sticks with the LOTR-esque titles for newer installments, are we going to be seeing “The Lays of Centauri Prime” comin’ down the pipe?
