Funny, I put #3 as “Dune” on first glance…I don’t recall any “midlife crisis” in Dune, so I didn’t put it on #12.
Numba 3 seems like Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace to me, but I could be wrong and it would not be the first time
I’m going with
3. Dune
12. Stargate
OK, between all guesses so far, we have 13 correct answers out of 15. Sill missing: 12 and 14
1. Blade Runner
2. Alien
3. Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
4. Gattaca
5. Independence Day
6. Minority Report
7. 2001
8. The Matrix
9. Men In Black
10. Planet of the Apes
11. Tron
12. ?
13. X-Men
14. ?
15. The Day The Earth Stood Still
Is 14 the Time Machine? (I was holding out for Top Secret, myself.)
and I figured out 12 wasn’t Stargate, but I’ll hold off to see if somebody puts it together without the internet.
some of these keywords do seem pretty random…
Yes!
Still missing #12….
12 = Wrath of Khan (though I used the Internets to figure it out)
I think I got #14. I thought of it on the way to work this morning after posting my list. I think it is Dark City. If I recall correctly the main character has a post card or sees a billboard with a girl in a bikini. Also I believe there is a large clock in the movie that resembles Big Ben. Still not really sure about this. Still haven’t used the Internet though. I made a mistake with #15, meant to put down the Day the Earth Stood Still but instead remembered it as Earth vs the Flying Saucers.
1)Blade Runner
2)Alien
3)Star Wars
4)Gattica
5)Independence Day
6)Minority Report
7)2001
8)Matrix
9)Men In Black
10)Planet of the Apes
11)Tron
12)Dune (probably Wrath of Khan, suggested on this thread)
13)X-Men
14)Dark City
15)The Day the Earth Stood Still
All the answers have been guessed. Here they are:

10. Planet of the Apes
11. Tron
12. Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan
13. X-Men
14. The Time Machine
15. The Day The Earth Stood Still
Thanks for playing!
That was the most mind-boggling thing to try and read. Holy crap. I was pretty impressed with myself for guessing X-Men for #13, and then came onto the comments page and realized that was The Easy One.
