The Imperial March Rocks
We all know “The Imperial March” from Empire Strikes Back is one of the reasons Empire is probably the best of the Star Wars movie. In other words, it totally rocks, as does the whole soundtrack. But, what does Vader do on vacation? Say he pops on down to Hawaii to choke some tasty waves on a surfboard. The theme might sound a little something like Imperial Surf by Kenny Haining.
Or, lets say Vader’s holidaying in Spain. He feels a disturbance in the Force to play a little classical guitar. The results might be something like this:
Oh Intertubes, is there nothing you can’t provide?

Unlimited hours of original high quality sci fi both in movie form and episodic TV form at an affordable price.
But hell even the TV and movie industries can’t do that.
But oddly enough and despite all the lamentations of its death, sci fi in letters form not only already exists in such quantities that it would be impossible to consume it all but also it’s industry produces an unconsumable amount of new product each year.
I twice got to see John Williams conduct the Chicago Symphony Orchestra perform The Imperial March and they were highlights of my live music life. It’s one of my favorite pieces of music, period. And certainly a Top 5 Genre score. And who wouldn’t want to make an entrance with that wonderful bombast!
