One comment this week:
“It’s not fair to Heath Ledger on there when we haven’t seen him yet-except for the lucky few who’ve seen the extended preview-and so we can’t judge until after the movie is out. Repoll then!” – Rachel

I just haven’t seen enough Joker to judge. The character was never all that for me. What is Joker’s appeal?
I neglected to reply to Rachel’s comment:
True, Rachel. But I recently re-watched Tim Burton’s Batman and Jack Nicholson’s character does not hold up well at all, imo. I already like Heath Ledger better. But not as much as Cesar Romero, my first Joker.
General X: For me, it stems from the Joker in the comics I read when I was younger. He was just a bad-ass character, ridiculous in appearance, but no less deadly. And who doesn’t love a killer clown? :-@
What’s his appeal? C’mon… the Joker is the anti-Batman! The Clown Prince of Crime is as insane and unbound as The Caped Crusader is ramrod rigid and analytical.
Just because people are equally afraid of bats and clowns doesn’t mean they’re not as different as day and knight!
