- Three books were added to the Baen Free Library. They are Genellan: Planetfall by Scott Gier, Crown of Slaves by David Weber and Eric Flint, and Emerald Sea by John Ringo
- Neil Gaiman offers us a sneak peek of Coraline. I love the look of this… [via Geeks of Doom]
- Real Science: An asteroid might hit Mars on January 30th 2008. [via Futurismic]
- Artist John Picacio shows off another Jeffrey Ford cover, this one for The Physiognomy, part of his Well-Built City trilogy. When all three covers (The Physiognomy, Memoranda, & The Beyond) are placed side-by-side-by-side, it creates a larger image, which Picacio and Ford will post soon. Cool.
- Finally, an answer to the question “Where can I find a list of Amish references in science fiction?”

Amish refs in SF?!? Too funny!
I just did an entry in my blog about The Starlost coming out on DVD which has Amish in space as a centerpoint of the plot.
Harlan Ellison and Ben Bova may be chagrined but I’m amused.
