- Jeanne Robinson, co-author Stardance with husband Spider Robinson, will be the first to perform zero-gravity choreography onboard a “vomit-comet” free-fall jet, and the result is being filmed for Imax. [via Boing Boing and Biology in Science Fiction]
- Baen Webscriptions offers sample chapters from two new Subterranean Press offerings: Screaming Science Fiction by Brian Lumley and Laughin’ Boy by Bradley Denton.
- Locus Online has posted profile excerpts of Elizabeth Hand and Nnedi Okorafor from their December issue.
- More Bests from 2007: Bookgasm lists The 5 Best Sci-Fi Books of 2007 and A Variety Of Words lists The Top Ten Reads in 2007.
- Carl from Stainless Steel Droppings is hosting The Sci-Fi Experience 2008, where he encourages folks to read science fiction and share their experiences during January and February. [via Stephanie]
- Mary at Better Living Through Science Fiction points us to a 21-page preview of a graphic novel prequel to the movie Jumper, which is based on the Steven Gould book.
- Marooned looks at the connection between asteroids and science fiction.
- Real Science: Time may be slowing down. I’m all for this if it meant I could read faster. Somebody check the math on that and get back to me…
