- SCI FI Wire profiles Jon Armstrong, author of the Philip K. Dick Award finalist Grey, which you can hear as a free audiobook.
- Subterranean Press is reprinting Richard K. Morgan’s Altered Carbon with a cool-looking Blade Runner-looking cover.
- Tad Williams Tad Williams has a redesigned website and blog (which has just been added to the list of sf/f authors who blog). [via Rob's Blog o' Stuff]
- New Book deals:
- The Lord of Silence by Mark Chadbourn.
- Subterranean Press is publishing Jim Butcher‘s non-Harry Dresden novelette (Backup) that’s still set in the Dresden universe. It comes with illustrations by Mike Mignola. [also via Rob's Blog o' Stuff]
- Free Fiction:
- James Bloomer (proprietor of Big Dumb Object) has published a really fun story called “A Letter Of Complaint” in Spacesuits and Sixguns Magazine. The story reads like a combination of David Langford and Paul DiFillipo’s light-hearted “And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon“. Go read. Now.
- Recently free fiction at ManyBooks.net: “The Valley of the Flame” by Henry Kuttner (1946) and “The Silk and the Song” by Charles Louis Fontenay (1956)
- Big Finish Productions is launching a new service (beginning February 1st) which allows you to purchase and download the audiobooks of Doctor Who, Bernice Summerfield, Sapphire and Steel, and the forthcoming Stargate series. [via Oupost Gallifrey]

That’s good news that Mark Chadbourn will be getting a US release on his new book. I’d sure like to see his backlist get US releases as well.
