- Neil Gaiman ran a poll recently to see which books his fans would like to read online for free. The results are in and the winning book is American Gods.
- Sidebar podcast-interviews artist Jon Foster. [via The Art Department]
- Neal Asher shares some more cool Stephan Martiniere covers, this time from French version of his books.
- The shortlist for the 2008 Ditmar Awards (the Australian equivalent of the Hugos) have been announced. The main site seems to be down at the moment, but Matilda lists the nominees.
- The premiere episode of Shadow Unit (the online group writing project of Emma Bull, Elizabeth Bear, Sarah Monette and Will Shetterly) is called “Breathe” and is written by Emma Bull. [via Elizabeth Bear and Adventures in Reading
- Bloggasm's Simon Owen has the skinny on Tor's Watch the Skies project. It seems that, in addition to freee eBook versions of published works, the site will be include original short fiction social networking features.
- Gizmodo has a gallery of C3PO, a Clone Wars Trooper and Indiana Jones in life-size Lego.
- SciFi Now lists The Top 10 Sci-fi Armies. Two of them are from Doctor Who. [via Illusion TV]
- File under Retro-Futurism: The Pointless Museum has a gallery of images from the 1979 book The Usborne Book of the Future, subtitled “A Trip in Time to 2000 and Beyond.
