- If anyone asked, I would say that there is not nearly enough coverage of Smallville on SF Signal. Sure, it's Dawson's Creek with super powers, but when they tap into the Superman mythos, it gives me chills. Er...that is...it would if I watched it. Anywho, there's news that the undeniably pretty Kristen Kreuk (Lana Lang) will be making an appearance next season, despite word that she (and Michael "Lex Luthor" Rosenbaum) won't be returning.
- The NY Daily News profiles Battlestar Galactica star Edward James Olmos who says, "The final season is not a way of resolving anything. Happy would be tying things in a nice bow. There are no bows being tied."
- AMC's MonsterFest blog tells us the Lena Headey is not taking her post-season 1 respite from The Sarah Connor Chronicles sitting down. She just joined the cast of Tell-Tale, an updated version of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart".
- Good news or bad? Sam Raimi's syndicated original fantasy TV series Wizard's First Rule, based on the Sword of Truth books by Terry Goodkind gets the green light.
- I stopped watching Battlestar Galactica a while back (Gasp!) and I haven't seen Lost (Bigger gasp!), but if JP were here, he'd definitely point out this pictorial mashup of the similarities between BSG and Lost. [via Kiss My Feed]
- Sez SFX: The BBC has announced that filming has begun on Merlin, a new family fantasy series.

...and I haven't seen Lost (Bigger gasp!)
I'd never had any interest in LOST, thinking it was just a grown-up version of Gilligan's Island, even after people started calling it "the finest science fiction (?) series ever made."
I'd read the entire Wikipedia entry, along with the character bios & episode synopses, but it was only a few weeks ago, when I discovered that ABC was streaming the episodes from the first 3 seasons in HD that I finally caved.

The writing, the acting (especially Terry O'Quinn's), the cinematography...
Averaging 4-6 episodes a day, I'm halfway through the 3rd season already!

Chris, yeah...Lost was one of those shows that never caught my eye. Maybe one day I'll do the same - just like I did when I overlooked Firefly the first time around.

Lost has me hooked, Smallville not so much (i.e., never seen it). But methinks John is going to make Summer Glau jealous with his eyes on Kristen Kreuk. Alert the paparazzi!

Alright, so I'm a bit late on the Smallville comments but I just finished watching Season 7....
I can care less about Lex Luthor (meh), but it's a total grrrrrr 
that there will be no more Laura Vandervoort 
, less Kristin Kreuk 
in Season 8. So who are we stuck with?? Allison Mack!?!? You know who she reminds me of? Ellen DeGeneres!! That's ewwww with a capital "Yuck!" And come on, geeky or no geek, who talks like that!?!?
I guess I can recover that space on my TiVo now -- that is, unless they starts showing more of Erica Durance (i.e. more her, less clothes -- after all, isn't she a nudist in real life, 
)
