Here’s a good idea…
Read a science fiction book and write a song based on it. That’s what John Anealio has done at his blog, Sci Fi Songs.
Check out some of these SF-inspired tunes:
- “Rachel Rosen” – Inspired by the Philip K. Dick classic Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
- “Sarene” – Inspired by Brandon Sanderson’s Elantris
- “The Return of Titus Quinn” – Inspired by Kay Kenyon’s Bright of the Sky.
Stop by and give a listen…

You should check out BlöödHag – all their songs are about science fiction authors. See their entry on Wikipedia.
Cool! Thanks, Ian.
